Dr. Christine Lawless, a member of the SCAA Medical Advisory Board, is a recognized expert on SCA in sports as a researcher, author, and medical practitioner. Dr. Lawless is the only physician in the United States to be dual certified in cardiology and sports medicine. Formerly Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Medical Center, she now has her own practice and consulting business in sports cardiology. She also serves as team physician to the U.S. Figure Skating World Teams, chairs the U.S. Figure Skating Sports Medicine Committee, and is a consulting cardiologist to Major League Soccer.
